Hanna Perälä is a conceptual artist and painter who graduated with a Master of Arts in 2021. Based in Finland, her multifaceted practice transcends conventional boundaries, shifting seamlessly between visual art, sound and text.
Perälä is particularly known for her way of portraying flowers as large, abstract forms that not only fill but dominate space – powerful entities that are both familiar and enigmatic.
She has showcased her art in numerous solo and collective exhibitions.
her work is also part of the public collection of the Lappeenranta Art Museum.

"I don’t approach flowers simply as aesthetic forms or depictions of nature — for me, they are pathways into something less tangible. They feel like doors into other layers of consciousness. Not in a mystical or symbolic sense, but as something concrete and wordless at the same time. They keep appearing in my mind as spaces or moments I can’t fully articulate, but can somehow reach through painting." – Hanna Perälä
